In January 2019, After 20 years of marriage and getting our kids pretty much grown, raised, and on their own we finally decided to get away from city living and move to the country. We love it here. We both still maintain jobs, Kelly with her office grind and I still travel peddling goods throughout the southeast.
Now, what to do with all this space?
We started with a few chickens and added a few more. Due to limited acreage & experience, we decided to add a few goats...you can get more goats per acre than cows... While researching goats I discovered New Zealand Kikos - a meat goat. (Read more on our ”About Kikos” page.) A hearty resilient breed known for being low maintenance and good mothers. We started with two and with goat math being what it is we are up to 14 Does, 1 Buck, and after this kidding season, give or take 21 assorted doelings and bucklings. The numbers will change as we buy and sell but one thing will remain- our passion and desire to learn and grow and produce quality stock for your farm to enjoy as much as we do.
What we have are 100% New Zealand Kikos, most are dual registered with genetics that can be traced back to the original herd imported from New Zealand in the late 80’s/early 90’s. We are raising these to try and breed a better goat, culling those that do not perform and then sell as seed stock to other producers.
We are investigating the potential of adding more land via lease or to purchase and then we want to develop a commercial herd to sell strictly for meat.

While we do enjoy our animals and do have plans for them, we have nothing that we won‘t sell. Just let us know you want them more than we do...😊
